The 58-64 impala has a funky front coil pocket that puts a hell of a side load on the cylinder making it hard to install front cylinders without issues. Slightly slotted to give the cylinder sone breathing room. This plate is a great fix that fits like a puzzle in the frame. It requires you to weld it into place, and once you do, you just install a donut with your cylinder, making the cylinder go through the frame without any funky angles or abnormal side loads. A nice straight shot through the top! A cheap insurance to not have issues with install or down the line!
